
Jen Bruno Certified in Pilates Reformer and Mat Pilates, Jen is well known for having introduced Pilates to this area. Jen began her Pilates studies at the Anthony Rabarra Studio in Princeton, NJ in 1998. Since then she has studied with numerous experts including Moira Stott of Stott Pilates in Baltimore and Jeaninie Gallate of Alternative Fitness in Philadelphia. Jen is also a certified yoga instructor, having trained with Ranjitha Sandeep.
Danielle Brook Danielle Brooke - Danielle is certified through Yoga Alliance for her completion of 200 hour Soul Sweat Asana training with Wendy Pinto. She trained under Baron Baptiste completing a Certification for Baptiste’s Level One Teacher Training. She also studied under Rose Levy Goldberg (aka Yoga By Rose) for 5 years before completing her first official certification. Inspired by simplicity in life, teachers who are great students and her peers in the yoga community; Danielle offers students a space to welcome love, integrity and peace into their lives.
Laurie DeSocio - Laurie is a student of yoga and Reiki having experienced their healing benefits personally. She completed 500-hrs of yoga teacher training at Yoga Sutra for Life and has completed levels 1 & 2 of Reiki and 3 levels of Healing Touch.
Judit Duran - Judit is a 500 hours Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. She completed her training at The American Yoga Academy and Yoga Sutra for Life. Judit is also a Health Coach. She received her certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NY. She is certified by the American Association of Drugless practitioners.
Shannon Elliott - Shannon has been a practicing yogi for 15 years. She is currently finishing her 500-hr teacher training through Lotus Yoga but has previous certifications through Integral and Soul Sweat. Her classes are a challenging flow with a strong emphasis on alignment weaving in yogic and Buddhist philosophy.
Rose Goldberg - Rose’s teacher training began under the instruction of Wendy Gross Pinto, RYT, at the Yoga and Healing Center in Scotch Plains, NJ. Her additional training includes the Barkan Method of Hot Vinyasa Yoga in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. After finding passion in Vinyasa Flow, she is studying with Baron Baptiste Level One Training and Teacher Assist Program.
Sharon Goldman - Sharon Goldman discovered Pilates in 2006 after struggling with chronic muscle pain for several years. Today, she is passionate about the benefits of Pilates for everyone, whether they seek to improve fitness, reduce stress, increase mobility or prevent injury. She is trained through Balanced Body Education and continues to attend workshops and expand her knowledge about anatomy and movement.
Julia Kadarusman - Julia has been a student of yoga since her teens and during her two-decade long corporate career in the music business, spent many hours on the mat. She recently completed her 300 hr Yogi Completion Course Teacher Training with the Yoga Studies Institute and weaves Tibetan Heart Yoga principles into her yoga and meditation classes.
Beth Mastin - Beth is a former dancer and was introduced to the Pilates Method in 2006. She studied under Master Teacher, Bob Liekens, who co-created the training manual and exam system with Romana Kryzanowska, a direct student of Joseph Pilates. After completing her training and 600 apprenticeship hours, she received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Power Pilates NYC in 2007.
Dana Murphy - Dana trained at the New York Open Center in the Kripalu tradition. Teaching since 2002, Dana combines asanas with meditation, yoga scriptures, philosophy and chanting to create a total yogic experience that strengthens the body, clears the mind and opens the heart.
Sharmila Narula - Sharmila lived in the community of an Integral Yoga ashram in India for eight years where she became certified. She is a yogi but also a healer and certified Homeopath. Her calm presence and commitment to the eight limbs of yoga will touch and heal all who are fortunate enough to join in her class.
Pamela Nixon - Pamela is a dedicated yoga and fitness instructor. She has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching yoga to all ages (including children) the past 4. Pamela completed a 300 hr teacher training program at the American Yoga Academy. She is also a certified personal trainer.
Ken Peyser - In teaching Yoga, Ken aims to share the calm, focus and strength the practice brings him. He is also passionate about Middle Eastern dance. For Ken, an ideal Yoga class unites rhythm, activation and a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection. He received his Yoga Teacher Training at the Princeton Center For Yoga & Health.
Yulady Saluti - Trained by Tara Stiles, Yulady’s unique and energetic approach to teaching leave students asking themselves “I want what she has.” In addition, Yulady has attended numerous workshops to further educate herself and hone her skills. Her personal growth and teaching experience coupled with her indomitable spirit and love for yoga warms both the studio and hearts of her students.
Ranjitha Sandeep - Ranjitha Sandeep is an Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga Therapist. She has taught yoga throughout the US, Canada and in India, where she received her formative training. Ranjitha comes from a background of Hindu and Buddhist practice and has been involved in yoga and meditation for as long as she can remember. Ranjitha is a disciple of Yogi Dharma Mittra from New York, and her past teachers have also included Ashtanga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois prior to his passing in 2009, as well as Master Sri Ravi Shankar (Healing Breath Kriya) and Sharon Gannon and David Life (Jivamukti).
Lori Scott - Lori is a veteran pilates professional having taught both mat and reformer in the area for 10 years, combining classical and contemporary methods of Pilates in her classes. She is certified through the Physical Mind Institute and Powerhouse Institute. As avid as she is about pilates, you will often find her practicing yoga at Onyx as well.
Kathleen Silverman - Kathleen is a STOTT certified Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor. She is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA and is in the process of completing a willpower & Grace® certification.
Reena Singhvi - Reena completed her 300 hour teaching certification from the School of Complete Yoga and has designed her Hatha yoga class to invigorate the mind and the body. Beginning and ending in Savasana the class is perfect for anybody looking to relieve stress and energize, as well as build flexibility and strength.
Natalie Ullmann -
Natalie has been teaching full time for 10 years and practicing for 17. She was among the first teachers to receive Advanced Board Certification from the Jivamukti Yoga School, their most esteemed professional and educational award. She has also been a professional shiatsu practitioner for 7 years. Her first published article on yoga appears in “Food for the Soul, Vegetarianism and the Yoga Traditions,” ed. by Steven J. Rosen.
Brian Yuen - Brian is a graduate of the 300-hr Lotus Yoga Teacher Training program and has studied a variety of yoga styles including Iyengar, Kripalu, Ashtanga and Anusara, but has since discovered that the best teachers are his students. His classes range from gentle restorative to strong vinyasa. He is certified for AcroYoga, kids yoga and prenatal yoga.
